Women 1

Women's Ministry

Bible study groups for women are offered throughout the school year on Wednesday nights and throughout the week.

Wednesday Night Study is offered from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and meets in the Annex Youth Zone. Members of these studies focus on scripture studies, often video driven by authors such as Jen Wilkin, Kelly Minter and Lisa Harper. Women participating in these studies are women who are single, married, divorced or widowed, from age 20 and older. These studies range from 6 weeks to as long as 3 months. Childcare provided through the Awana ministry.

BALL 1

Be Active Live Longer (B.A.L.L.)

Be Active, Live Longer (B.A.L.L.) is Oakland's Senior Adult Ministry led by members of the group. Anyone 55 or older is welcome to attend B.A.L.L. luncheons and activities.

B.A.L.L. meets the third Wednesday of each month from September through June, usually in the church multi-purpose room, to enjoy a covered dish lunch, fellowship and hear about topics ranging from missions to church events. On special occasions, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, a themed meal may be offered at a special time.

Men's Studies

There are a number of opportunities open to men for Bible and book studies throughout the school year.

Men's Bible Study

Men's Bible Study meets Wednesday evenings during the school year to study God'w Word together and deepen relationships with God. Men within the group facilitate this study which meets at the church. Childcare for this study is available through the Awana ministry.

Music Ministry 1

Music Ministry

Oakland's Music Ministry has groups for various age groups and styles of music, but the porpose remains the same: to bring honor, praise and glory to God in worship. Worship Pastor Ryan Carter oversees the ministry, assisted by other directors and volunteers.

Awana 1

Awana

Awana is a Gospel-based program for children offered on Wednesday evenings through the school year at Oakland.  Children learn about having a personal relationship with Jesus through Scripture memory, missions, fellowship and fun. Sparks and Truth in Training club members also participate in area and regional Games and Bible Quiz Events.
